About Trail Ridge
Jay’s and Austin’s trails crossed in 2022 and they immediately hit it off, sparking a mutual desire to venture into business together. After exploring various avenues and encountering multiple dead ends, they circled back to their shared passion for GOD, animals, ranching and a desire to do some type of business in the food industry.
In 2023 the two found a small, USDA inspected beef jerky plant for sale in Grapeland, Texas. From there, the idea for Trail Ridge Cattle Co. was born and their trail took them down paths of experimenting with own flavor creations and productions, sampling hundreds of other jerky brands, and coming to the realization that good beef jerky was hard to find and equally hard to create.
After months of cooking and marinating, they had finally succeeded in developing their first three flavors that hold up to a jerky lover’s standards. Made by Texans using only high quality ingredients the jerky was ready to go into the testing phase, and the most common phrase heard during product testing was: “I was not expecting it to taste this good!”
